"Towards Ma'alaea"

I have often painted this scene looking out from the south shore beach of the Kihei Canoe Club towards Ma'alaea. This is a long-distance view of the West Maui Mountains from Kihei towards Ma'alaea. The view takes in the scene of the beautiful palm groves that existed before the Sugar Beach Resort was built. I love the north wind that blows directly onto shore and kicks up the waves toward the beach here. It's a lot of energy!
