The surf spot shows surfers in the break but one very large Hawaiian chief is surfing. Surfing is the sport of Hawaiian kings. Lahaina was the first seat of Hawaiian royalty, before the sovereignty moved to Oahu.
I wanted to lovingly show the "kooks" or beginners, getting schooled by their Hawaiian "kupuna" or ancestors.

Giclee is a French term meaning “to spray”. The giclee process we use creates a high-resolution image using archival pigment inks, carefully sprayed onto high-quality canvas, capturing the vibrant colors and intricate details of the original artwork.
