I am an artist because I want to create. My job, in my opinion, is to create something which will endure longer than life itself. Much of my inspiration comes from a love of my native New Hampshire land and seascapes. The change in seasons has influenced my interpretive, loose style as a plein aire painter. I rarely work from photographs. Working en plein aire (French for painting outdoors), is solidly satisfying to me as a painter.
