The Copley Society of Art is proud to present Co|So Artists A to Z: Savory, an exhibition of small artworks by our membership. Dozens of artist's small paintings, sculptures, and photographs are for sale --- perfect additions to growing art collections. Work from all mediums is represented, and styles range from traditional to contemporary.

Ellen's work featured at Hawaii's Viewpoints Gallery, July 2-12

Two of Ellen's pieces are featured in the Viewpoint Gallery's 2011 Makawao Plein Air Festival.

The exhibit runs from July 2 through July 12.

This piece won the 3rd place award at the Omer T. Lassonde Memorial Exhibit at the New Hampshire Art Association, Portsmouth, NH. It is on view through April 29 at the Levy Gallery, 136 State Street, Portsmouth.

The juror was Daniel Fuller, Director of the Institute of Contemporary Art at Maine College of Art.

Ellen to be inducted into the New England Watercolor Society

Ellen Friel has achieved signature membership in The New England Watercolor Society. She will be inducted at the annual meeting in March 2011. She is also a signature member of The Copley Society of Art/Boston, and a juried member of The Sharon Arts Center, The Cambridge Art Association, and The New Hampshire Art Association.

Ellen's small-format oils to be features at Boston's Copley Society ofArt

The Copley Society of Art, located at 158 Newbury Street in Boston, features its year 'round "Small Works" Gallery.

Original work in smaller formats by juried artist members is affordably priced for the holiday giving season. Beginning in November, I will have 6"x6" to 10"x10" small oil paintings included in this show.

Pine Hill Holiday Fair

Pine Hill Waldorf SchoolThe 34th Annual Pine Hill Waldorf School Holiday Fair is coming up soon! The school is located at 77 Pine Hill Drive (off Abbott Hill Road) in Wilton, NH.

This seasonal favorite is being held Friday, December 3 from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM (the Artisan Market for grownups only) and Saturday, December 4 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, which is Family Fun and Festivities Day.

This fair is truly a one-of-a-kind event! On Saturday, there are all types of wonderful children's activities, such as the magical, interactive plays, and puppet show, music, fresh, gourmet luncheon and food vendors, and the juried art and craft vendors. If you have never attended, treat yourself and your family to the Pine Hill Holiday Fair. You'll be back year after year!

NH Potters' Guild exhibit

Ellen will be exhibiting on Saturday, October 30, with the New Hampshire Potters' Guild. The show and sale will take place at The Holiday Inn, Concord, NH, from 10 AM - 5 PM.

This is a very busy show, so get there early for best selection! There are veteran potters as well as a bunch of "newbies", which makes for a varied offering of styles and art forms. There is plenty of parking.
